Book giveaway, and onwards

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments on the Tudor Roses book in my last post. I’m back to say we have a giveaway winner – Congratulations, Vera, you’ve got a message waiting for you in your email. I drew random number #97 and this corresponded to your posted comment. Thank you everyone for your draw comments! It’s a great book.

In my knitting life in the mean time, I can promise you I am making good progress on my Smoky Lake cardigan – it’s all seamed up and just has the wide collar/button panel left to go, and soon I can deploy it for the February chill.

Finishing my Exeter cardigan and now almost the Smoky Lake has made me just want more wooly cables, more and more and more of them. I’m wasting no time in dreaming of others. In addition to my own design thoughts (always a fun idea), I’m looking at Bray from Interweave Knits, Rowe and Montauk from past Wool People volumes, and my own Macoun from Twist Collective which, as per usual, I want a sample for myself having knitted one already for publication. Lots of fun wooly cabled choices yet to be made.

Happy weekend, knitting friemds! I hope you have some knitted cables to work on of your very own.

  1. I am casting on for Macoun as soon as I am done all the finishing on my current project. It’s beautiful– I can’t wait!

  2. Glenna, there should be a cable song or jingle to go with all the glorious cables you’ve chosen!

  4. It’s a lovey book, I didn’t enter since I bought it when it came out. Only thing I found disappointing is that all the menswear patterns in the original have been taken out, meant I had to source the original book in the end anyway,
